Your Certified Adventure Boot Camp Instructors

LISA OLONA

Lisa Olona
CampDirector/Lead Instructor

Lisa Olona brings a wealth of fitness training leadership to Adventure Boot Camp for Women, having already served as director of her own personal boot camp for two years. She also is an ISSA (International Sports Sciences Association) Certified Fitness Trainer and has supervised personal in-home training and corporate and sports team building programs.

Lisa is no stranger to making a difference in helping meet Peoria's wellness needs. She conducted boot camps for city employees and for Peoria Unified School District administrators and educators. "My positive experiences with this town's citizens have helped me feel quite at home here," Lisa said. "I'm looking forward to furthering those relationships and developing new ones."

A 1995 graduate of Grand Canyon University, Lisa played for two seasons on the school's volleyball squad, after transferring from Scottsdale Community College, where she was a Junior College All-American. Following her successful career as a player, Lisa enjoyed a prosperous coaching tenure at the high school ranks. She led Xavier College Preparatory girls' volleyball teams to three consecutive Arizona 5A state titles, the first of which helped earn her Coach of the Year accolades in 1996.

In her spare time, Lisa enjoys mountain biking, hiking and weight training, also recently adding a successful half-marathon to her list of accomplishments.

"I just wanted to thank you for all the changes I feel in my mind and body due to the last couple of months. I'm running like I never thought I could. I feel this shift inside me each time I run now, it gets easier and my mind is in a better place. You are a great inspiration and motivator. I just wanted to let you know how grateful I feel to be a part of this group, meeting new friends and making positive changes in my life all at the same time. Thank you!"
